ECBA COVID-19 Statement

Posted on March 13th, 2020 at 11:14 AM
The Erie County Bar Association is aware of ongoing concerns related to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our members and employees. We continue to monitor recommendations and emergency response efforts from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Erie County Health Department and are ready to alter our policies and procedures if necessary. We urge all ECBA members and staff to follow the prevention recommendations set forth by the CDC, including not attending events and meetings when they are ill or not feeling well. We also encourage members to evaluate their current health situation when deciding to attend events and/or meetings and to consult medical professionals when appropriate.

Our Business Partner, USI, has prepared the following information regarding the coronavirus.
Currently, all ECBA programs and events are being held. This includes:
• CLEs
• Law Day, May 4th
• AKT 5K Run & Walk, May 23rd

During this time, we encourage all members of the ECBA community to stay informed, keep a balanced perspective, take preventive health measures, avoid panic, and offer support to those whose families or loved ones may be affected by this outbreak.

Thank you.
