Erie County Law Foundation Awards Erie Student the 2015 PA Chief Justice Samuel J. Roberts Scholarship

Julia Bensur of Erie,  is the 2015 recipient of the Chief Justice Samuel J. Roberts Scholarship. Ms. Bensur graduated from Cornell University with  Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Government  and will be attending law school at Cornell Law School this fall. 

Bensur was selected after the committee recently interviewed all scholarship candidates.  Citing their impressive academic success, the committee also renewed the scholarships of  Erie law school students Mara Vento, third year at the American University Washington College of Law, and Rachel Tallmadge, second year at the Michael E. Moritz College of Law at OSU.

The committee, which has awarded scholarships for more than two decades, includes Attorneys Daan Braveman, Bradley Enterline, Tina Fryling, Dennis Haines, Patrick “Mick” Livingston, Mary Alfieri Richmond, James Strazzella, Scott Stroupe, John “Jack” Mehler, and David Zurn, and lay representatives Kathleen Horan of Stairways Behavioral Health, and Jeff Pinski, formerly of Edinboro University and the Erie Times-News.
