The Honorable Tom Ridge Draws Full House: Celebrates ECBA Law Day 2015 with Keynote Speech
The Erie County Bar Association celebrated our Annual Law Day Luncheon with keynote speaker, former Pennsylvania Governor and Secretary of Homeland Security, The Honorable Tom Ridge on Friday, April 24th at the Bayfront Convention Center. Mr. Ridge filled the room to capacity, presenting his topic America: Our Brand and Our Values and sharing many stories about his local friends, family and former colleagues.Students from eleven local high schools and four area colleges enjoyed a special opportunity of a “Students and Teachers Program” with Secretary Ridge prior to the luncheon.

In celebrating the Constitution and our country’s legal heritage, Law Day was first observed under President Dwight Eisenhower in 1958 and was established to remember and reflect on our rights and responsibilities as citizens. Law Day events such as this are designed to enhance and expand education on law-related topics.
